Most of these bits are the Slip Cheek style. This means the mouth bar slides up or down on the cheekpiece, therefore giving a lot more 'play' in this bit. This is great for horses with busy mouths, but sometimes will make audible noise as the horse lifts or releases the bar. The copper also encourages acceptance and moving into the bridle and is widely enjoyed by horses.
