These are so awesome for protecting the rib area of your horse when driving with the short marathon shaft vehicles. They attach onto any saddle by taking your shaft loop off and sliding the upper slot onto the tug bearer strap. these slots will allow up to 1.25" width strap. Larger slot sizes can be custom made. Then the drop billet at the bottom of your shaft loops goes through the bottom slot. these pads are easy to put on and take off, and don't trap as much heat as the full dogbane style. and don't add any extra bulk under your saddle.
